Yay! The move went smoothly! And now here I am, at my very own url.
There may or may not be issues with taking all of my WordPress followers with me to my new digs; I hope I haven’t lost anyone. Also, any comments that may have come in during the transition over the weekend may have been lost to the ether.
Now that I’ve moved, there is still work to be done – you know, putting shelf paper down, organizing cabinets and deciding how the furniture should be arranged.
My friend Meriah of With a Little Moxie is doing the design work for me, so stay tuned for a pretty face lift in the near future. And feel free to contact Meriah for her services!

Love the new layout & fonts! And is it sad that the brightest moment of my day (at least, so far) was when I discovered that your photo banner now fits properly & you don’t have the little “scrolling bar” at the bottom of the page any more? Yay!
The layout and fonts are all going to change! This is just a very basic, temporary layout.
I had no problem coming to your new location. Welcome to your new ‘home’! I take it having your own domain is a good thing. Can you explain what the advantages and requirements are to having your own url? I’m just curious.
You know what? I am not completely sure! I know that I have a lot more flexibility now as far as customizing my blog. And the grand hope is to make a name for myself and attract more readers, as is the hope of every aspiring writer hoping to one day get published
Flexibility will definitely be a good thing! I wish you success in getting published. I actually work in publishing but on stuffy, academic titles. I think your writing is very heartfelt.
I was one of the ones that could never see your picture at the top… so I’m not sure if this is a new picture or an old one… but I LOVE IT!!!! so natural! so cool!… congrats on the move! I love what Meriah has done to her blog, so I’m sure yours will end up looking just as great as hers!
